Terms of Service
Last updated: June 9, 2026
1. About Typefree
Typefree is AI voice-input software provided by Rui Wang, an independent developer. By downloading, installing or using Typefree, you agree to these Terms.
2. License and editions
- Free edition: free to use, up to 1,000 characters of input per day.
- Paid (lifetime) edition: after a one-time purchase, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Typefree on your own device with unlimited input. One license key activates one Mac.
- You may not reverse-engineer, circumvent licensing, resell, or redistribute license keys.
3. You provide your own third-party services
Typefree itself does not provide speech recognition or large-language-model services. You must obtain and enter your own API keys from third-party providers (e.g. Volcengine, Alibaba Cloud Bailian). Availability, quota and billing of those services are the responsibility of the respective providers; you must comply with their terms and safeguard your own credentials. Typefree is not responsible for any interruption, change or cost of third-party services.
4. Payment
The paid edition is sold and processed by our payment provider Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd, acting as Merchant of Record / reseller). Final price and taxes are shown at checkout. For refunds, see the Refund Policy.
5. Disclaimer
The software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, recognition accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the software.
6. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms from time to time; updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your license may be terminated if you breach these Terms.
